Steel beams were designed and installed to replace internal load-bearing walls. This opened up the kitchen and dining area into one modern open-plan space. Calculations included loading on beam, beam design and padstones.

Beam at Loft Level

We engineered steel and timber beams to support new joists and roof loads for a full loft conversion. Beams were supported on existing walls with padstones.

Ground-Foor Beam Replacement

Installed a structural steel beam to replace the existing load-bearing walld, allowing for a seamless open-plan layout. The beam was carefully propped during works and bears on reinforced padstones to transfer loads into the existing foundations.
